Test results

How to find out the results of blood tests, scans and other tests.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them in your NHS account through the NHS website or NHS App. If you are unable to use the NHS App, phone between 10am and 4pm for your results.

Using the NHS App

Many test results appear in the NHS App once a clinician has checked them. Some results may need a doctor to explain them first.

Results from hospital tests

If a hospital did your test, the hospital team will usually give you the result. Contact the department that did the test if you have not heard back.

If you need help now

If it's a life-threatening emergency, call 999 or go to A&E.

If you need urgent medical help and we're closed, go to NHS 111 online or call 111. More about getting urgent help.
